40 years ago today (15 June 1978), after helping to unite the warring political factions of his home country Jamaica at the One Love Peace Concert, Bob Marley is awarded the United Nations Peace Medal at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel ballroom in New York City, presented to him by Senegalese director Momadou Johnny Sekka. #todayinbobslife
